Books for Better: When Breath Becomes Air

In this episode, I talk with Rabbi Jessica Barolsky about the book When Breath Becomes Air by Dr. Paul Kalanithi. Paul Kalanithi was well versed in English literature and was a skilled and gifted scientist and neurosurgeon. This vibrant life was shattered suddenly by the catastrophic diagnosis of stage 4 lung cancer. In Breath Becomes Air he writes brilliantly about his life before and after cancer and challenges of finding meaning in a shattered life.
